Can I brag...just a little?
Just found out today that I received the Excellence in Freelancing Award for January from one of my clients! I get a $25 Barnes and Noble gift certificate and a nice endorsement on their website that says:
"Molly is a cogent, careful, and inspiring writer who takes great care to bring in her submissions on time and according to specifications. Our editors glow with appreciation when they see her work."
OK...this is a rather self-serving post, but hey, it made me feel pretty darn good, especially since the stuff I wrote that garnered this award was written during my pregnancy and early mommyhood! :)
OK...now back to work! At least I feel a little more inspired now!

Sunday Evening at the Detweilers
It's another fun-filled night at the Detweiler house. Most of it has been spent playing downstairs with our little exhibitionist Betsy (she loves to play in just her diaper!) and our big yellow dog who definitely feels a little depressed sometimes that he is no longer the center of attention in the house!
I was watching a show on TLC this afternoon about babies with genetic disorders or with other diseases or injuries and it made me so grateful that our sweet little girl is so healthy and happy. What a blessing she is...what a precious gift from our loving Father! And what a fun way to spend a Sunday evening! :)

Praise God for Small Victories
Today I went to lunch with a friend. As usual I talked a little too long and found myself racing anxiously home hoping that Betsy wasn't screaming with hunger since it was a little past her eating time.
Well, miracle of miracles...I walked into the house and all was quiet. Then I realized that Myron was sitting on the couch, FEEDING Betsy with a sippy cup! She won't take a bottle...but she will drink 4 ounces of formula laced with a little rice cereal...from a sippy cup!!! Yippee!!
Date night...here we come. Thank you, Jesus!
Sippy cups are the bomb!

Are You Cereal?
Betsy just had her first foray into solid (sort of) food! We tried a teeny bit of rice cereal tonight. Most of it went onto her bib and fingers, but she did enjoy sucking it off of her hand and actually started to cry in between bites so I think she was eager for more. Wow...my little girl is growing up! ;)
Enjoy this little photo essay of Betsy's cereal experience!
